Better Late Than Never

Hello, world. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve written. To be honest, with all the insanity that has ensued in this world over the last couple of years, I almost forgot that writing was a thing, I almost forgot that it was my thing.

I wish I could say I had some noble reason for why I stopped producing quality content. Alas. The truth is, once the world was put on house arrest and all the gyms in my ‘hood shut down indefinitely, I had no more “quality content” to write about, if y’know what I mean.

Well, now that lo, the proverbial winter is past and the season of singing (without a mask) has finally come and gyms have fully reopened, y’all know what that means: Fancy Meow is back.

I had originally planned on writing a proper blog post. But, to be honest, the story I wanted to share is still in the making, and to share not only an an incomplete but also a heavily censored version would almost be criminal.

So, instead, I’mma do something unprecedented. A spark of inspiration ignited something within me that I hitherto did not know existed – and that “something within me” is apparently a poet. I mean, I already knew I was a literary genius but, a lyrical genius? Who knew? lol Anyhow, I figured I should strike while the iron’s hot so, without further ado, please enjoy a series of haiku poems by yours truly.

Stream of consciousness
Ridiculousness ensues
Let the games begin

I wonder if you
Ever think of me when you
Walk by a squat rack

I miss seeing you
At the gym, always chasing
Those chest and back gainz

La question du jour
Bruh, do you even know what
my last name is though

[This next one has a few bonus lines cuz why not, lol]

I don’t gamble, but
I bet I could crack you up
I bet we’d have fun
I bet you’d like me
Can I braid your hair
I miss your face sigh
Lime chips FTW

I wonder if this
Could be something beautiful
Too good to be true?

Maybe I’m crazy
Foolish to hope and believe
Time to say good-bye?
